(San Francisco, CA) Kongregate, a leading web games startup, is looking to hire a Junior Web Designer to join as the 2nd member of our design team. This would be contract-to-perm — a 3-month contract with a good chance to join our tight-knit team of 21.
Our site lets users upload Flash games — we enhance them with achievements, chat, profiles, points, ratings, level sharing, and more. Over 6000 developers have uploaded more than 18000 games since our launch in 2007. Our community is highly engaged in collecting achievements and socializing and is growing rapidly — currently at over 6M monthly uniques.
You will work with our Senior Designer and VP of Product to design and implement new site features and enhancements, as well as custom creative units for advertisers.
You should have:
* A passion for excellent design and user experience
* Strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, and Photoshop
* The ability to create wireframes and comps for new features
* 1-3 years experience in web design
