Software Engineer - Mobile Applications
Zoosk is looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about building engaging mobile applications to join our engineering team in San Francisco. The candidate should have experience in iPhone or Android application development, or other relevant mobile devices. You will be working with architects, designers, and product managers to build mobile applications for the fastest growing social dating destination on the web.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain features for Zoosk mobile applications
- Work with Zoosk API team to define REST-based resources that provide data for your application
- Leverage core Zoosk.com features to harness user interaction characteristics of each mobile device
- Design object model and caching structure to minimize network calls and speed up application performance
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience building software applications
- Experience developing at least one mobile application
- High proficiency in Objective-C or Java
- Excellent understanding of object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and/or development frameworks
- Previous startup experience and development using an agile process
- Must be self-directed and able to drive a project from end to end
