(Washington, DC) The Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA) at Boston University is
seeking contract web designers in Washington, DC to teach daytime and
night/weekend classes in a variety of topics, including Flash and
ActionScript, and standards-based XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
CDIA offers certificate programs in graphic and web design and web
development. Classes are taught by working professionals, who bring
their professional experience & industry knowledge to the classroom.
* Perfect for experienced freelancers to supplement their income,
or full-timers who want to give back
* This is not a full-time salaried position; contracts run a week at a time
* Each course runs for one full week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
* Instructors' commitment is generally one course (one week) at a time
* Class time is a mix of lecture, group discussion, and project work
* Each class's curriculum is provided, though we want you to teach
your professional experience
* Classes require preparation time, but there's no homework to grade
* Classes are small (5-18 students) and use new Macintosh labs
* Pay is competitive
* At least 2 years of working experience required
* Prior teaching experience preferred; a Master's degree is not required
